So the full version of Moon Pride, the new opening for Sailor Moon, is out! Here's my review of the music video.
The song itself sounds absolutely amazing. The harmony sounds beautiful, and everything from the lovely verses to the addicting chorus and epic bridge is well composed. The electric guitar gives the song a little kick and I can't get enough of it. All of the vocals are well done; I especially love hearing Momoka's lines.
As for the video itself... I guess the animation is pretty. I normally don't like when cgi models are used in anime because it tends to look cheap, but it actually looks good here. However, as a Momoiro Clover Z fan, I'm kind of disappointed with the MV. When I watch a momoclo song, I want to be wowed. I at least expect to see the girls wearing cool cotsumes, performing their sharp choreography and doing silly hijinks or being involved in some other epic scene. The MV had none of that. Heck, the girls don't even appear in the video. Oh well, at least I can watch their live performances for that.
[EDIT] There's a "Live MV" for the song now!
I really like the choreography, and the outfits are really cool too! This song sounded really nice live! I think some of the harmonies sound even better sung live!
